The construction process
The process of making a good instrument is rather complex and requires quite some specific tools.
The process of making a good instrument is rather complex and requires quite some specific tools.
In order to work efficiently it makes sense to work on a batch of several instruments. Four or five guitars at a time is what I usually have going.
In this post I share with you a few pictures of the stage of closing the soundbox and fitting endgrafts and bindings. Closing the soundbox is a special part of the construction. Before fitting the back I pay a lot of attention and spend quite some time finishing the details of the guitars' interior. Properly sanding the struts, reinforcement bars, sides, etc, is important for the creation of a good sounding guitar.
