Timbers

For our classical guitars we look for timbers of exceptional quality and beauty. The soundboard is made of either Spruce or Western Red cedar. An ample variety of timbers can be used for back and sides all with an adequate density and weight ratio. Various types of Rosewoods can be used, such Madagascar, Cocobolo or Indian Rosewood. Bubinga, Ziricote, Flamed Maple, Pau Ferro, etc are other timbers that we use. 

Measurements

Normally, like most classical guitars, the scale is 650mm, however, on request we can make an instrument with a shorter (640mm) or longer (660) scale.

There are several standard measurements for the width of the fingerboard: 
-Nut 50mm, 12th fret: 60mm
-Nut 52mm, 12th fret: 62mm
-Nut 54mm, 12th fret: 64mm

We also make lefthanded guitars.

When you comission a guitar these are all details that will be discussed.

Prices (VAT exlc.): 
The base price is 3450 EUR
500 EUR is charged as deposit at the start. When the guitar is ready for French polishing we charge another 15%. The remaining balance + shipping cost is to be paid when the instrument is finished.

Options included in the base price: 

• Spruce or Cedar soundboard
• Ebony or rosewood bindings
• Timbers for back and sides: Indian rosewood, flamed maple, pau ferro, zebrano, flamed ash, cypress, ...
• Barnett, Perona or Schaller tuningmachines with bearing.
• Cibeles carbonfibre hardcase. Colors black, red or white.  
• Knobloch strings (nylon or carbon), RC strings (nylon) or Philippe Bosset Paris (nylon or carbon)

Options at extra cost: 

• Snakewood bindings: +180 EUR
• Timbers for back and sides: Madagascar rosewood +400 EUR, exotic ebony +300 EUR, ziricote +400 EUR, cocobolo +400 EUR, katalox +120 EUR, bois de rose +300 EUR
• Alessi tuningmachines: +350 EUR. Ify you want other tuners, not included in the base price, please inquire about price and availibility.
• Hiscox case: +120 EUR, BAM case: +500 EUR
• Scoop cutaway and 20th fret: +250 EUR

We make the packages to send with a courier very carefully to avoid damage. The shipping costs will be added to the price of the guitar.
