Ronda Guitar Festival 22

This june 2022 we were exhibiting at the Ronda Guitar Festival.

It's always interesting to spend some time with other guitarmakers and to be able to exchange ideas about guitarmaking and other aspects of our profession. I've had the pleasure to get to know and exchange ideas with a few very interesting luthiers.
Some very interesting guitarists came to try out the instruments at the exhibition. The feedback has been considerably positive. In my opinion, guitarists trying out the instruments and providing feedback is paramount to the development of great guitars.

Every evening of the festival there were great concerts. Duo Arbos (ES), Jan Depreter (BE) and Pelech-Horna Duo (PO) are three of the artists I enjoyed very much listening to.
In addition to the evening concerts there's another very interesting part of the festival, especially for guitarmakers. Two times during the festival the beautiful monastery's chapel welcomes artists up on stage to perform a Matinée concert. These concerts are especially interesting because they are played with the instruments of the exhibiting luthiers.
Paco Seco played a magnificent concert on a selection of the classical guitars, among them a Torres inspired guitar with a cedar soundboard recently finished here in the workshop.
Javier Sánchez played another impressive concert on a selection of the flamenco guitars. On my flamenca negra he played a piece por Granaína and finally "Punta y Tacón" be the great Sabicas.

Many thanks to Paco Seco, Lucy and all the other friends who helped organize the festival. We'll be back for the next edition.
